Xi jinping  pointed out that food security is the greatest of the country. Everything is leisurely, and eating is important. Food is paramount to the people. After arduous efforts, China has nurtured nearly one-fifth of the world's population with 9% of the world's arable land and 6% of the world's freshwater resources. From 400 million people who couldn't eat enough back then to over 1.4 billion people who can eat well today, it effectively answers the question of "who will feed China". This achievement was hard won and needs to be further consolidated and expanded. On the issue of food security, we cannot be complacent at all. We cannot assume that entering industrialization will eliminate the issue of food, nor can we rely on the international market to solve it. We must be proactive, always tighten the string of food security, always adhere to the principle of putting ourselves first, focusing on domestic production, ensuring production capacity, moderate imports, and technological support.

Under the premise of protecting the ecological environment, we need to expand from arable land resources to the entire national land resources, with a modern agricultural production structure and regional layout that is suitable for market demand and resource and environmental carrying capacity, suitable for grain, economy, animal husbandry, fishing, and forestry. We need food from forests, rivers, lakes, and seas, and facility agriculture.
